Environment Projects
The project we are currently supporting is the restoration of the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands. Once boasting an amazing 1.5 million hectares this forest has now diminished to a mere 1% of its former size.
The reforestation project is being organised by "Trees For Life" who are an accredited charity in Scotland.
For 2007 they have also pledged to support the UNEP's Billion Tree Campaign and are committed to planting 100,000 trees to help restore this ancient forest back to its original splendour.
From our advertising revenue We will finance tree planting in the Caledonian Forest on your behalf and publish the details of our progress on this page. Please remember to drop by regularly to see how your visit to this site has made a difference to the British countryside.
Although Trees for Life do not offer carbon offsetting as such, they do however accept donations from people who appreciate that their lifestyle is having a negative impact on the environment. They also offer advice on carbon reduction and share our belief that while tree planting is a positive step in the right direction, there is more we should all be doing to really maximise the benefits of this.
We have not inherited the earth from our fathers;
instead, we have borrowed it from our children.
